Based on Tim Atkin’s tastings of 1,700+ wines from 299 Argentine wineries, we are thrilled to share that Corazón del Sol’s Head Winemaker, Luciano Bastias, has been recognized as Argentina’s Best Young Winemaker of the Year and has earned two of the top-rated wines in the report.

We are so proud of Luciano for being recognized as a “key figure in a movement towards more elegant, terroir-expressive wines in the last decade”.

As we celebrate this exciting moment in Luciano’s winemaking career, we want to put the spotlight on a few of Luciano’s personal favorite Corazón del Sol wines from the last eight vintages at Corazón del Sol, including a pair of the top-rated wines from the 2025 Argentina Special Report.

In February, I joined Luciano in the cellar to taste through each barrel over four days of the final blending of the 2023 vintage. We left knowing that we had something really special. Corazón del Sol is producing what we feel are the best wines in Argentina – beautifully textured with impeccable balance, and the structure to age for decades – all enhancing a unique expression, guided by masterful intuition and experience in the cellar.
